![]() ![]() Frets are in great shape with pretty much no wear. Beautiful, dark Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Neck: Nicely rounded, medium profile, bolt-on mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a wonderful patina. The back of the body appears to have chemically reacted to something in the case as there are various circular & oval images in the finish. ![]() Professionally set up & ready to play upon arrival.Ĭosmetic Condition: Various nicks, chips, dents & dings surface scratches & some finish wear. This one has a warm, rich, woody tone to it & the pickup actually sounds pretty good when plugged in. There's actually a Gibson factory order number on the neck block which dates to '58, however, the Valco serial number on the back of the headstock dates to '59. Some of you may know that the bodies for these National 1155 models were actually made by Gibson & as you can see it looks very much like a J-50. ![]() What makes this guitar special: 100% original & in wonderful condition for its age. ![]()
